It’s good to use just chord strokes for guitar backing, but using chord cutting will definitely expand your range of expression.
“Cut” the rhythm with the nuance of “floating” the fingertips that are holding down the chord.
From the moment you successfully combine it with the drum and bass rhythm section, your enjoyment of music will take you to the next level.

The reason why we used barre chords in all cases is that they are easy to brush.
At the “X” part of the notation (tablature), the rhythm is created by “floating” the fingers holding down the chord.
The arm swing is a repetition of “down ⇒ up”.
If I were to describe it in words, it would be something like “Jagatsuku Jagatsuku”.
However, it is just a “nuance that floats”.
If you really float it, the harmonics will sound depending on the fret position.
You should be able to hear it brushing note at the timing of the drum snare.
Summary
So far, we have introduced “brushing” as an 8th note beat chord cutting technique.
The trick is to practice along with a metronome or other accurate rhythm as much as possible.
It’s cool when the rhythm matches perfectly.
