Some chord strumming patterns use 16th note.

It is often used for chord backing during exciting parts of ballad songs.

The key is to be aware of the rhythm pattern of the drums.

Here we will introduce a chord strumming that includes a 16th note.


16th note chord strumming pattern①

The tempo of the music score is BPM70.

It’s OK if you think of it as the tempo used in ballad songs.

The chord progression uses G-Em-C-D.

The trick is to match it to the position where the hi-hat, bass drum, and snare drum will fit.

Be careful not to play so hard , keeping in mind the elegance of the song.

Next is a pattern with bridge mute added.

Gently touch the strings near the bridge with your right hand (or left hand if you are left-handed) to mute the sound.

The chord progression here is also G-Em-C-D.
