When the guitarist of a certain unit revealed that he wasn’t actually playing,He was reportedly saddened by the director of the record company.

Apparently he can play the acoustic guitar, but not the electric guitar.

Huh? It’s the same guitar, so you can play it, right?

In fact, acoustic and electric guitars are two different things, even though they are the same guitar.

I play both though.

Can you play the guitar = Can you do chord strumming?

Generally speaking, being able to play the guitar means being able to make chord strumming.

Among these, chords that include open strings such as Am, Em, C, and G may be applicable.

Barre chords such as F and B♭ are said to be a barrier for beginners.

Can you do this? or not? would be the first hurdle.

Sound creation is essential for electric guitars

If it’s an acoustic guitar, chord strumming alone may be enough.

However, in the case of electric guitars, sound creation is involved.

Guitar amplifiers and effectors are used to create the sound of an electric guitar.

Similarly, if you hold down a low chord and perform a chord strumming, it may interfere with other instruments.

This is especially noticeable when using distorted sounds due to distortion or overdrive.

Taking this into account, the options of “not playing” and “not producing any sound” are by no means wrong.

TV viewers don’t know the difference between electric and acoustic guitars?

What bothered me even more was that a person who appeared to be a staff member of the program said, “The viewers don’t know what an electric guitar is or an acoustic guitar.”

What if they said, “I don’t know what a metal bat is or a wooden bat,” or “I don’t know what a soccer ball or volleyball is.”

“Of course not! I would never say that,” or something like that.

Maybe they just aren’t interested in guitars.

If so, it makes sense.

It can’t be helped.

What that person is probably interested in is “content.”

That is also the “content” that attracts attention.

Am I the only one who thinks that every time a “Shohei Otani” is mentioned, it’s consumed as content?

Summary

Acoustic guitar and electric guitar are different instruments.

At least that’s what I think.

It’s fine to prioritize “content,” but am I the only one who wants a little more consideration?
