イントロのフレーズから形になった楽曲です。
英語の歌詞にすることは、その時点で決めていました。
10代の頃に思い描いていた景色とは、到底かけ離れている暮らしをしている大人ではあるけれど、最期の日を迎えるまでは、なんとか生きていこうよね、という内容の歌詞です。
よくある「夢は必ず叶う」というフレーズがあまり好きではありません。
それぞれが各々の「目標を達成する」ことはあるとは思いますが。
そういった私の考え方が表された歌詞なのが「Freedom And Guilty」かと。
The song took shape from the intro phrase.
I decided at that point that the lyrics would be in English.
Although we live as adults a life that is far removed from what we imagined as teenagers, the lyrics are about how we should somehow live until our last day.
I don’t really like the common phrase “dreams will come true.”
Although I do believe that everyone can “achieve their own goals.”
I think the lyrics of “Freedom And Guilty” express that way of thinking.
