Mobile ordering and self-checkout

Apparently there is a service called mobile ordering.

When using a gyudon chain, you want to try the gyudon in advance! Sometimes that is the case, but most of the time it is not.

While I was looking for a restaurant, I saw a signboard for a gyudon restaurant, so I went in.

This pattern seems to be more common.

What is mobile order?

Mobile ordering seems to be a form of ordering and paying in advance on your smartphone, and then picking up (and eating) the product at the store.

It might be nice not to have to worry about the complicated operation of a ticket vending machine.

One of the reasons why it is not widely used is simply that it is not well known.

We have no choice but to make sure that stores are fully aware of this.

Come to think of it, when I went shopping at a supermarket, the self-checkout lines were empty, but the manned checkout lines had long lines.

I used the self-checkout system, so I was able to check out smoothly, but the long line still seemed to move slowly.

Self-checkout = It seems like a hassle, I absolutely hate it! There may be a fair number of people like that.

Then it’s better to wait! I guess that’s what it means.

Maybe they don’t find it painful to stand in line or have to wait.

I guess I can give up and think there’s nothing I can do about it.

Well, I can spend more time in the store.

This is especially true during periods of severe heat and cold.

I’m not sure if I’ll ever use mobile ordering again.

I guess people who use mobile ordering feel the same way I feel about people who don’t use self-checkout.

Now, how far can I go?
